Operations with SaaSify

Palo Alto Networks now builds and sends private offers for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud in minutes from inside Salesforce, so its marketplace team spends its time moving deals forward instead of copying data.

Summary

Palo Alto Networks sells its cybersecurity platform through AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud marketplaces, with multiple SaaS and professional services listings on each and private offers going out daily. The channel is large and growing. Palo Alto had roughly $6.6B of scheduled non-cancellable cloud purchase commitments as of July 2025. In December 2025, it announced an expanded Google Cloud agreement alongside its $2B Marketplace milestone.

Behind that growth sat a mostly manual process. Three out of four private offers were processed manually across three partner portals, each with its own rules and complexities.

In 2025, Palo Alto Networks partnered with SaaSify to automate private offers across all three clouds. SaaSify’s Salesforce integration lets the team create, track, and report on every offer without leaving the CRM. The share of automated offers rose from 25% to over 94%, and offers that took hours now take minutes. Palo Alto has since expanded its partnership with SaaSify to include co-sell automation: Google Cloud co-sell went live in July 2026, and Azure and AWS are next.

That capacity matters. Palo Alto Networks reported $11.48 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue, up 24%, and expects $14.1 to $14.2 billion in fiscal 2027.

About Palo Alto Networks

Palo Alto Networks is a global cybersecurity company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Its Strata, Prisma, and Cortex platforms protect more than 70,000 organizations in over 150 countries. Its global marketplace team runs listings, private offers, and co-sell across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle.

The challenge: Manual work that couldn’t scale

Buyers now use marketplaces to utilize committed cloud spend, buy professional services, and transact in new regions and sovereign clouds, often on custom payment terms. For Palo Alto Networks, that meant more private offers, each with more variables.

  • Manual, error-prone offers. Specialists moved back and forth between Salesforce and each partner portal, copying quote data field by field. Accuracy depended on each person remembering every marketplace’s rules.
  • Three clouds, three processes. AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud were at different stages of maturity, so each needed its own workarounds.
  • No way to hire out of it. Offer volume kept climbing, and without automation, the only option was more headcount.

Everything was basically manual. We knew at the time that we’re not going to be able to hire our way out of this problem… That’s not scalable or practical.”

By 2025, the team needed a partner that could automate private offers at Palo Alto’s scale. It drafted a business requirement document (BRD) and piloted several cloud GTM vendors.

Why Palo Alto Networks chose SaaSify

Palo Alto Networks wrote a detailed business requirements document (BRD) and piloted several vendors. Three things set SaaSify apart.

  • Transparency from the start. SaaSify went through the BRD in depth and said plainly what it could deliver out of the box and what it would need to build.
  • Built around Palo Alto’s process. SaaSify matched its platform to Palo Alto’s approval flow instead of asking the team to change it. Offers start only after quote approval, from a custom “Initiate Private Offer” action in Salesforce, with built-in checks for payment schedules and product-specific term limits.
  • Everything inside Salesforce. Palo Alto’s team creates, tracks, and reports on automated offers in Salesforce, with no separate app or portal logins.

We’ve explored alternative vendors and solutions. SaaSify gave us the bridge we needed to match internal KPIs and requirements to deliverables.”

Customer success that shows up after the contract

Service was the biggest difference between SaaSify and the vendors Palo Alto Networks piloted. With other vendors, a simple change took three to four days. SaaSify’s customer success team typically responds in under 30 minutes. That responsiveness means Palo Alto is not losing any revenue because its partner cannot deliver.

The service level from SaaSify, in contrast to our normal experience, went up post contract execution, which was a large consideration in our vendor selection.”

The results: From 75% manual to under 6%

  • 276% increase in automation. Before SaaSify, 75% of private offers were built manually. Today, fewer than 6% are.
  • Hours to minutes per offer. Private offers that took hours of manual data entry now go out in minutes.
  • One standard process across clouds. Placing a private offer on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud now follows the same workflow, so the team gets faster with every order.
  • Co-sell built the same way. SaaSify customized its co-sell platform to Palo Alto’s enriched data and sales plays with co-sell on Google Cloud.

Being able to launch everything specifically from our CRM massively simplified our existing process and made things more scalable, especially as we start to handle thousands more private offers and we acquire more companies that also sell on the marketplace.”

Advice for ISVs: Don’t wait

Palo Alto Networks plans to keep building with SaaSify on co-sell, new marketplaces, and further customization. Matt Nunez calls SaaSify “the best fit model that we could find out there in the market today.” Jim’s advice to other ISVs is simple.

Don’t wait. When the business scales, and it will scale, you’re going to find that without a partner like SaaSify the orders are going to come in quicker than you can process them, and you’re going to hit an inflection point… When you have the ultimate trust with a partnership like we do with SaaSify, then I feel comfortable building the business together.”
